Philosophy and Ethics Conference at Tortworth where we took part in a discussion led by Fr. Christopher Jamison, a Benedictine monk, on how the art of silence can be of benefit when making important life changing decisions.
Fr. Christopher is convinced that everyone can benefit from sustained, regular periods of silence, claiming: “When we enter into periods of silence, we start to see things with a greater clarity. We come to know ourselves, and come in touch with that deepest part of ourselves. That is our soul”.
