Thanks to everyone that made the effort to bring in a little something for our celebration together in The Well on the last day of term. I hope everyone had a great afternoon and it got them in the Christmas spirit – pictures to follow in the new year!
From Jerry and myself we wish you a very merry, blessed and holy Christmas. Enjoy the season in all it’s joy and love, with lots of rest for those of you that really need it, and lots of celebrating for those of you with energy in abundance. In the words of Freya Stark: “Christmas is not an external event at all, but a piece of one’s home that one carries in one’s heart.” Let us leave you with a prayer for Christmas time.
Let me just for a moment, Lord, hold this time in my heart.
It is about mysteries and gratitude,
unknowing and wrong sizes,
snippets of ribbon and screams of delight.
Help me to remember the immense love you have for each of us in this room.
With each gift that is opened, no matter how perfect or not,
let me feel again the many ways you gift us each day,
especially with your presence in our hearts and the presence of each other in our lives.
