Dear Parents and Carers,

As this term comes to a close, preparations are in full swing to bring a bit of festive cheer to The New Sixth next week. We have chocolate mountain madness on Monday, a Christmas film showing Wednesday and the Big, Fat Christmas quiz Friday.

Miss Butler, Director of Sixth at Saint Gregory’s

We hope that students will enter into the fun of the week as we celebrate their successes over the term.

A huge well done is deserved by the Year 12 Heads of House who have fought to save the annual Christmas market by embarking on a new tradition: The Merry Mini Market. We wish them all the best with their plans as they prepare for the event next Friday.

The new year brings continued exam preparation for Year 13 students and, whilst I encourage you all to use your time wisely over the Christmas period to revise for mocks, do make time to embrace the fun with family and friends that I hope this break brings.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all students, staff and parents for their support of The New Sixth this year; it has been a time of celebration and we have seen many students achieve to the best of their ability through their serious focus and commitment to their studies and the wider community of the school. I wish all the students, staff and parents of The New Sixth a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Miss Lucy Butler, Director of Sixth Form St. Gregory’s
