Dear Parents and Carers,
This term has been an incredibly busy one with an awful lot achieved in a short space of time. The number of opportunities made available to the sixth form has been staggering and I am exceptionally proud of how many of our young people grasp these with both hands.
For Year 13, this half term should be time to devote to revision; I am well aware of the conscientious approach that many of our students are taking and whilst I strongly encourage good quality revision over the break, I also implore all students to make time for fun with family and friends. Be reminded that, whilst you want to achieve the best that you are capable of, your health and wellbeing must be the most important concern at this time.
Year 12 students will be coming back next term to a wealth of information and support to help them consider their next steps. In particular we have a visit to our local UCAS conference to help students consider if university is the right path for them. It is imperative that students accept the invitation that has been sent to their school email to allow them to join us on the 11th March as this becomes their entry ticket. On behalf of all the staff at The New Sixth, I would like to wish all our students and their families a happy and relaxing (and productive!) break.
Miss Lucy Butler, Director of Sixth Form St. Gregory’s
